Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Finale: Tarun Tahiliani

Crowd of +1000 <Check>. Glitzy front rowers (Shanaz Hussain, Gauhar Khan, Gitanjali Kashayap, Sumeet Nair) <Check>. Awe-inspiring runway setup <Check>. A choir of Barmer musicians in the wings <superb and check>.
When you are in a Tarun Tahiliani show, come with no expectation but one: Expect it to be like a huge wedding!
'New Democrazy" as the collection is befittingly titled, fulfilled it's promise of "the bigger and better". Around 50 looks, all with longer lengths, fuller silhouettes with all the heavy pleating and gathers, layered Nehru jackets and the Umrao Jaan inspired corset kurta-churidar. Soon after the models wearing the western outfits walked the ramp, the bridal ensembles were executed in all its richness. The velvet corsets the paneled lehengas worn with kurtis. And ofcourse- The turban in all it's glory! It was a show to die for!
Chitrangada Singh strutted down wearing a silk sari, but it was Shilpa Shetty (Tahiliani's muse) who stole the show with a heavy pleated lehenga and an embroidered bodice. (DIES!)

Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara Review

I have alot of mascaras in my make-up bag.. I keep experimenting alot... And I when I went out to search for a good mascara, I found this. Not hard to find it though because of the bright yellow packaging!
Other Mascara's typically have a black or dark cylindrical tube... However this one is bright yellow in a slight bullet-ish shape with tapering ends. When you screw off the lid their is a bright purple band underneath it (purple for the normal, turquoise for the waterproof). It's a 10ml tube.
The mascara flaunts a chunky big application brush much like the rubbery/plastic brusher you get now-a-days.

The mascara liquid is nice and thick... and I have the Noir Glamour/Glam Black color.
The best thing about the mascara is that you get 7x Volume in just one coat. Period.
With two coats you are given more definition to your lashes. Immediately the lashes look fuller and longer.

The website claims that the waterproof and the normal mascara give the same effect... And oh, you do end up with panda eyes when you rub your eyes too hard. :P

To remove this mascara I use baby oil/ olive oil on a cotton ball.
It costs around Rs.380/- in most stores. I bought mine from Westside, Camac Street, Calcutta.

Flipping through Vogue India (October 2010)

On the cover: The Erratic and gorgeous (mother of two??) Cindy Crawford in my favorite Balmain number... The gold sequined dress from their Fall 2010. line up.. Classy.

Blamain is a very clever brand. In a good way. EVERYBODY LOVES BALMAIN. Period. >>That period signifies the end. <<

I mean just have a look at their Fall 2010-11 Collection:

It's edgy, it's classy... Head turning. And I love the well structured shoulders! Pleasing to the eyes!! Love~

OK quick! Turn to page 312. AAhhhh... The god himself... Karl Lagerfeld (Who told me I'm not a model :( [I'm not fat, I'm voluptuous, Karl ;)] )... oh wait...I just realised... The Balmain connection, AGAIN! [obsession, I fancy :D]
Talking of which I just noticed some of the "not so Chanel" pieces from the Fall 2010 Collection. KARL!!! What happened to these? I thought you hated FAT. Your models are gonna be real upset with you, you know... :(... I mean what was your inspiration? Big-Foot?
If you can't imagine, here they are:

But try as i may I can't talk ill about your knitwear. As always I am blown off (not like Alexa Chung says it) by them... And I loved them Fur Boots, Karl...Muah!!

Oh and I almost forgot to mention!! My aunt went to New Delhi and shopped like mad and got me this Chanel beauty... Fall 2009 but whatev... It's CHANEL. It's  CLASS. And it's MINE! (Happyness)

Oh btw, doesn't Natalia Vodianova look absolutely gorgeous on page 320? A little birdie told me that she's a mother of three (O.M.G.) and has the perfect life (almost fairytale-ish!)... With great beauty comes great happiness *sigh*..

All in all I loved this moth's Vogue India (as usual a culmination of various topics in various Vogue internationals published till date in 2010 :P)

But yet, Happy Anniversary Baby! :) *sips martini*
